1. Information We Collect

When you sign in using Google, Smartikle accesses only the following Google account information:

• Email address
• Name (profile name)

Smartikle requests only the following OAuth scopes:

• openid
• email
• profile

We do NOT access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or any other Google user data beyond basic profile information.

You may create a separate email address or display name specifically for Smartikle if you prefer. You are not required to use your primary personal email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your Google account information solely to:

• Allow seamless login
• Authenticate your account
• Create and manage your Smartikle user profile
• Provide access to Smartikle learning content
• Deliver user-requested materials such as:
  • Exams and quiz results
  • Educational articles ("Smartikles")
  • Course materials and updates
• Communicate important account-related information

We do not use your Google data for advertising, marketing, or any unrelated purposes.

3. Data Sharing

Smartikle does not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data.

We may use trusted third-party service providers strictly to operate the platform (such as hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, or payment processors). These providers process data only as necessary to provide the Smartikle service.

We do not share Google user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or resale.

4. Data Storage & Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect user information.

Security measures include:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Secure server environments
• Access controls limiting who can access user data
• Storage of only the minimum necessary user information

Smartikle does NOT store your Google password at any time.

5. Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide services.

If your account is deleted, your personal data will be removed from active systems within 30 days unless retention is required for legal, security, or compliance purposes.

6. Data Deletion & User Control

You may:

• Revoke Smartikle's access at any time through your Google Account permissions
• Request deletion of your Smartikle account and associated data by contacting: support@smartikle.com

Upon verified request, your account and associated personal data will be deleted within 30 days.

7. Google API Services Limited Use Disclosure

Smartikle's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Smartikle does NOT use Google user data for:

• Advertising
• Data brokerage
• Unrelated profiling
• AI or machine learning model training outside of the direct user-requested service

Google user data is used solely to provide authentication and core platform functionality.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
